Sheepdog Tip of the Day, Before Combat tip 296
The goal must be performance oriented and must not be results-oriented. We're responsible for our performance: we cannot control the outcome. Instead of having a goal "to score a perfect possible," it would be better to have a goal "to follow my mental program for every shot." There are many reasons why you might not score a perfect possible (e.g., bad round, broken sight, gust of wind), but there is no reason why you couldn't meet a goal of following your mental program for every shot.
