Sheepdog Tip of the Day, During Combat tip 65

[Prev] [Next]

In the heat of battle, many warriors think of their family. One police officer said that during a gunfight, he had a vision of his three-year-old boy toddling around in front of him in his pajamas. These intrusive thoughts are not always distracting, sometimes they can serve as an inspiration or motivation, as in the case of one police officer in Arkansas who was shot in the face. He says that a sudden thought about his young son motivated him to get up and return fire, killing his assailant.
