Sheepdog Tip of the Day, During Combat tip 244
You take the time to read [your equipment list]. Always "run your list" and be certain that each named piece of equipment is there. If you haven't gone over your list at least once per training day, you will eventually get caught without a piece of equipment when you need it. Using lists, especially checklists, leads to routines. Develop and religiously follow a routine that will guarantee your preparedness. If you're interrupted in your checklist routine, deal with the interruption and then finish your routine.
