Sheepdog Tip of the Day, Before Combat tip 248

An interesting use of a logbook was told to us by one of our [police sniper] students. He and his partner went around to every bank within their jurisdiction and located a good hide overlooking the front of each bank. They drew up panoramic sketches and range cards and noted any bits of information that would be important to them later if they were ever called out to that bank. They noted the best way to get to the hide without being seen and listed names, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses of key individuals in the bank. They also provided their own contact numbers to the key bank personnel. They drew out a floor plan of the inside of the bank, including all the ways in and out. All of this information took up only a few pages in their logbook and was with them all the time.
