Sheepdog Tip of the Day, Before Combat tip 12
Ken Murray, author of Training at the Speed of Life and cofounder of Simunition, says that stress inducing simulation training places an obvious fork in a person's survival psychology pathway at the point of projectile impact. If the trainee is conditioned to stop when he is hit (as if the scenario is over), he programs an undesirable and potentially self-destructive action into his mind.
