Sheepdog Tip of the Day, Before Combat tip 1
It is interesting to note that all of the sensory distortions outlined in this book are extremely rare in normal life ... except among hunters, where (for example) auditory exclusion is almost universal, and slow motion time is very common. There may be something about the nature of hunting which taps into our ancient survival instincts. I believe that hunting is the only peacetime experience which will allow us to consistently tap into a "primal toolbox" of skills and experiences that is completely unknown to anyone else. Lt. Col.
