Your body builds up a sleep debt, and just as you can catch-up on dehydration and malnutrition, you can catch-up on sleep. So, if you got only three hours sleep last night, you can use caffeine to get yourself through the day. But as soon as you get a chance, sleep in late or take some major naps to catch up on your sleep debt.
